- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- Frosting:
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Mix the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, and vanilla. Combine both mixtures and stir in melted butter. Pour into the pan.
- Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the batter. Swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 28-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar and milk to desired consistency. Spread over warm cake.
