- 1 1/2 cups thinly sliced onion

Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, black pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into thick patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and sliced onions. Cook until the patties are browned on both sides. Remove patties and keep warm.
- Sprinkle flour over the onions and drippings in the skillet. Stir in the flour, scraping up any browned bits.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring continuously. Add the remaining salt and let the gravy simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
- Lower heat, return patties to the skillet, and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes to blend flavors.
- Serve hot with gravy spooned over the patties.
