- 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a medium bowl, melt butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine dry ingredients: Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Assemble the bread: Spread batter into prepared pan. Drop hot fudge sauce by spoonfuls onto the batter, using a knife to swirl the sauce into the batter. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts if using.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the center is set but still soft. Do not overcook.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
