- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk (or plant-based condensed milk)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dairy-free chocolate chips)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Mix dry ingredients: Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl.
- Add butter: Mix in cubed butter until the mixture is crumbly.
- Prepare the base layer: Press the majority of the oat mixture into the baking dish, reserving 1 1/2 cups.
- Mix peanut butter layer: Stir together peanut butter, condensed milk, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.
- Assemble the bars: Spread the peanut butter mixture over the oat layer and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Top and bake: Add the reserved oat mixture on top, press down lightly, and bake for 30 minutes until golden.
- Cool and serve: Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.

- For gluten-free: Use certified gluten-free oats and a gluten-free flour blend.
- For vegan: Substitute butter with vegan butter, chocolate chips with dairy-free options, and condensed milk with plant-based condensed milk.
