- 5–6 medium gold potatoes, cut into large chunks
- 16 oz. sauerkraut
- 1 ½ lb. Polish sausage, cut into large pieces
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Layer the Ingredients: Place the sauerkraut at the bottom of your crockpot.
- Add Potatoes and Sausage: Layer the potato chunks on top of the sauerkraut, followed by the Polish sausage pieces.
- Prepare the Broth: Mix the chicken broth, caraway seeds, and bay leaf in a small bowl. Pour this mixture over the ingredients in the crockpot.
- Season: Add salt and pepper to taste over the layered ingredients.
- Cook: Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or until the potatoes are tender and the sausage is cooked through.
