Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

- Gradually add flour and salt to the creamed mixture.
- Spread 3 cups of batter in a greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
- Spread cherry pie filling over batter.
- Drop remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over filling.

- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack and cut into bars.
