Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Gradually add flour and salt to the creamed mixture.
  5. Spread 3 cups of batter in a greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan.

  8. Sprinkle with slivered almonds.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
