Description

A comforting and hearty dish perfect for weeknight dinners, Hamburger Casserole combines ground beef, noodles, cheese, and vegetables in a creamy tomato sauce. It’s a family-friendly meal that’s both easy to prepare and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups cooked egg noodles
  • 1 package (16 oz) frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed tomato soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, frozen vegetables, tomato soup, and half of the cheese.
  4. Gently fold in the cooked noodles.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or a plant-based meat alternative.
  • Spice it up by adding a teaspoon of chili powder or diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
