Description

A hearty and delectable breakfast pizza layered with flaky crescent dough, savory sausage gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, and a blend of melty cheddar and pepper jack cheese. Perfect for a weekend brunch or a special morning treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages of crescent rolls
  • 1 package of cooked sausage crumbles (e.g., Jimmy Dean)
  • 1 envelope of country gravy mix
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces of shredded pepper Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a round pizza pan.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and separate into 16 triangles. Arrange on the pizza pan with points toward the center. Press to form a crust, sealing seams. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until golden.
  3. Prepare gravy mix according to package directions in a saucepan. Stir in sausage crumbles. Set aside.
  4. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir the egg mixture until almost set.
  5. Spread sausage gravy over the baked crust. Top with the scrambled eggs and cheeses.
  6. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes more, until eggs are set and cheese is melted. Serve in wedges.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute low-fat cheese and skim milk.
  • The pizza can be prepped the night before, covered, and refrigerated until ready to bake.
